Why?

Everyone else had a blog, so I want one!

It's been a while

It's been a while that I've done a few things that I did today.
I went for a drive.
I had my hair cut.
I spent my day at home (as in there was no outing, just a drive and hair cut).
I FINISHED READING A WHOLE BOOK! =O

Surprising to both me, and most of my friends I guess.
Other than the short list of things that I did, that I haven't done in a while, I had a chance to try out a pair of shoes that Jie got for me, which is suppose to be a birthday present. The shoes are shown below, and well, I didn't like them as much as I believe that I will. Not sure why, but *shrug*

Quotes of the day (extracts of the novel below):
1. Chapter 9-"Preserve me from the enemy who has something to gain, and from the friend who has something to lose."
2. Chapter 9-"Teach us to care and not to care. Teach us to sit still."
3. Chapter 13-"The only wisdom we can hope to acquire is the wisdom of humility."
4. Chapter 17-"May the judgement not be too heavy on us."
5. Chapter 33-"There is one who remembers the way to your door: Life you may evade, but Death you shall not."
6. Chapter 66-"In order to possess what you do not possess, you must go by way of dispossession. And what you do not know is the only way thing you know."
7. Chapter 71-"In order to arrive at what you are not, you must go through the way in which you are not."
8. Chapter 72-"The world turns and the world changes, but one thing does not change. However you disguise it, this thing does not change: the perpetual struggle of Good and Evil."
9. Chapter 77-"I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing."

These quotes may sound depressing at times, but they are indisputably usually true.

The Four Asians xD

After so long, this is the first time of the three/four outings that actually had all four of us going out together. By the four of us, I mean Eira, Grubs, Heolin and myself. Surprisingly, even though we weren't together for long, catching up, going around was well.. fun!

The day started with me meeting up at Eira's house, and then we went to the city to meet up with Grubs. As we found her, we had to complete all our "usual" store shopping before Heolin arrives, as she doesn't have the same interests as the three of us. As usual, we went to the anime stores, claw machine at Photo World (only got one Silver Doraemon/Ding Dong [shown below]), the yellow sign DVD shop, and anything else I missed out on. Today I purchased an old TVB series that was one of my favourites since I was a kid known as Gods of Honour or 封神榜 (poster of show shown below). We then went to Dessert House to eat lunch as we waited for Heolin's arrival.

Heolin's arrival brought a change in our actions. Firstly, we went to find Heolin at MC, then we went to do what Eira & I constantly do. We went to play pool at Ed Hardy (used to be Barcode). We taught Grubs how to play, and she became pretty decent (not to mention addicted) by the last game. While, Heolin didn't heed any of my advices and continued to play with her own style and pace that needed improvements. Seated at Max Brenner for drinks and chats, Grubs left early to go look for her mother. We allowed her to do so, and it ended with only three of us.

The remaining three of us travelled to a two different JB-Hi Fi's. This was cause I wanted to find new earphones to use (because my ones broke), and Heolin wanted to check out cameras. Later, us three went to Myers and checked out Basement. Even though there was nothing to buy, having a look around was good enough. In the end, Heolin didn't feel too well, so we headed back to MC to hurry home. Eira got off at Sunshine, I got off at Ginifer, while Heolin got off at Keilor Plains; thus, concluding our day.

For more information on the day, check out Grub's blog, and Eira's currently non-existent post, that will surely come soon.

Quote of the day:
"珍惜眼前人"
This famous Chinese phrase basically means that we should treasure and value every person that we see in front of us, because we never know what the future holds.

Avondale Video Clip Completion!

This past week hasn't been too bad. Even though not much happened, nothing made it crap *nod*

Monday went by as normal Mondays did. The only difference would be the fact that it began with out final chapel for the year. Surprisingly, some people rejoiced at that idea, yet others just didn't show any sign of emotion, due to the fact that they don't have an actual response to this. The day continued with me literally spending every single period of class of the day working on the Avondale Camp video. And that was pretty much my day.

Tuesday is the same as the day before. I did nothing but work on the Avondale Video, and actually completed it! =D I finished everything EXCEPT the music section; however, I did receive some samples of music to listen to at night and choose which to use for the movie clip. At night, I imported the selected music, and completed my one week project.

Wednesday was a resting day. Because of the completion of the video clip, I responded with the usual giving out of the clip. Even though I don't know if people's "It was good!" is genuine or not, I'm proud of myself for spending time constructing this video clip for everyone. Appreciation is of course hoped for, but not receiving any doesn't bother me too much.

Thursday is the day that I spent resting again and converting the video clip into a dvd format disc. It is awesome, in the sense that it has a Menu Page, Play Movie selection, Scene Selection button, and a Watch the Trailer extra feature. I am proud of this creation. Even though I gave it away, I'm not too sad about it, because I spent my time mainly to try it out, and its proved to be successful =) On top of this, we also officially began our RE Sac. This was an utterly stupid SAC. The reason to this, is because we are given a week to complete it, when it is only a research report consisting of 5 - 10 pages. This was also the reason to why I spent that class (along with many others) sending Bluetooth messages to each other to waste time (it's when you type a message/note in word document, and send it to the designated receiver via Bluetooth). The other thing that happened today, is that I started a new show known as "The Big Bang Theory". I watched the Pilot episode, and it seems like something that Bro-in-Law will enjoy, therefore resulting in me having the idea of passing it over to him on Sunday =)
I also downloaded Ronald Cheng's album "Freak", I wonder if it's good or not *shrug*

Friday... Tutor happened, and it was the day that the year 7-10 students spent their day in exams. Year 11's were the only students roaming around the school most of the day. This showed the school's quiet and uninterrupted side. It was pretty good. A discussion of the problem of what presents to get for who arose, and was basically solved. Let's just hope all of that goes well.

That's about my week. Tomorrow is Saturday, and another day I'll be spending out and about. I'm hoping that it is a good day, and everything goes well =)

Quote of the day:
"It's good!"
Is it really a genuine thing, or are people just saying it as a sign of common courtesy?
I'm confused about that

R.I.P. 1970's Satellite dish :'(

Friday was actually a pretty awesome day. That was the time when we had our "11 HD class party". The bad part of this was that it didn't end up being a class party. The incident resulted in something that was similar to a WHOLE year 11 party. I'm not exactly complaining, but it's like.. WTH?! Our class paid for food and all that pretty much seemed like we shouted the rest of year 11. That sucks!

The trip back home on the bus was sad =( As we were driving, the 1970's satellite dish wasn't there! =O It's one of the things that we laugh at on our way to and from school everyday, however, it wasn't there!
(list of things we laugh at are shown here)

Saturday wasn't a bad day too. Spent the day at WG trying to search out a present for one of the bro's upcoming birthday. Got a few ideas, but not sure of what to get just yet.. Gotta talk with other bros to make a finalised decision.

Today was a pretty bad day I guess. The raining was bad, the going to shopping but didn't by anything wasn't good too. And you can't believe this! When I was at South Wharf DFO and halfway through our shopping spree, there was this thing where the speakers went "Emergency, evacuate, Emergency, evacuate!" Everyone in the centre thought it was a joke, but then was herded off by security guards to evacuate the premises. Outside the centre was four fire trucks, but we don't have a clue what it was all about.
That, in the end, caused us (Jie, Lil_thang, Bro-in-law, and me) to go to Harbour Town to shop. Sadly, I still didn't get anything =(

Chinese Exam.. CONQUERED!!

So happy today! =D
At long last, I finished with studying Chinese forever! =D
The reason to this, is because I finished my final Chinese Exam TODAY!

It was an epic day, because well, I got there late >.<" So I lost most of my reading time. But the funny thing was, the room with two people (me and some other chick from another school as well, going to this campus), she was there on time, but I left before she did xD
I would've been pissed if that happened to me, so even though I'll never see her again, let's hope she didn't get pissed, lmao

So now that Mathematical Methods AND Chinese Exams are done, I'm going to put ALL my time into making that camp movie. And then after that I'll start and complete my parent's anniversary video clip.

Let's hope it all goes well =)

Same as last post's quote, learn HISTORY!!

Me reading?! (o.0)

Yesterday was a pretty decent day. The main thing that I accomplished, was to complete my FIRST RE Units 3&4 Sac =O!! And other than that, the only other accomplishment, would be me starting the actual camp video. It took me a few hours to just do 48 seconds ><" The funny thing is that I am hoping to make this a 10 minute movie clip. Let's see how it goes!!

Oh right, and I gots to CONGRATULATE my brother MARK for being GC's NEW SCHOOL CAPTAIN!! =D
CONGRATS BRO!!!

Today was actually humorous. It is humorous, not due to the fact that something funny happened. It was humorous, due to the idea that I actually did something (0.0)!!
Firstly, we completed the planning to Libro's birthday eve's Yumcha outing *yaah yumcha!*
And...
Yes, exactly as the title states... I was READING! *shrug*
The book I read was
"CHINA, Land of dragons and emperors" (picture shown below)
The author of the book is the same person who composed "Chinese Cinderella" and its sequel.

This book was basically a non-fiction record of basic knowledge of Chinese culture's colour and numbers, with their meanings, which is then followed by a broad overview of China's history of emperors and political status. It began with the famed Qin dynasty, and ended with the current Communist Party reign.

I agree to the idea that this book is decently good with its accuracy, structure and good summary of the beginning and end of dynasties of Imperial China. However, there are many factors of Chinese history that this book (not sure if purposely) neglected. This neglecting includes:
  • The famous Xiang Yu (Western Chu Conqueror) in the Chu-Han wars, he was simply known as "a warlord".
  • It is extremely surprising how the EXTREMELY well known "Three Kingdoms" was not even stated in the book at all. A famous era of time with many great men (eg Guan Yu, Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu, Zhang Fei, Liu Bei, Cao Cao) which has even been turned into a game (known as Dynasty Warriors) was not mentioned even ONCE! This was completely shattering.
  • The mentioning of the transition from Sui to Tang dynasty also overlooked the act of "Change at Xuanwu Gate". It was briefly mentioned, however was not mentioned with the famed title.
  • An extremely villainous subject to the Qing Dynasty, simply known as He Shen was also not mentioned (despite the fact that he was one of the richest Chinese men in ALL of history).
Other than the few neglected factors listed above, and a few others, I believe that the book was great! The point of China being an extremely traditional and "chained to the past" with their thinking, which caused them to decline from "the greatest nation the world has seen" during the Tang dynasty, to become a country in modern day society, that people look down upon. This is true, despite the fact of our rich cultural heritage!

I am actually disappointed in my ancestors on this point...

And that was pretty much my day..

Wing Chun(詠春) or not?

Today I spent my day out in the city with Eira. The main reason was for us to check out this Wing Chun (詠春) place down near China Town. For noobs, or people who doesn't know what Wing Chun is, it's a style of Chinese martial arts, and can be learnt by anyone, as it is a very simple and effective kung fu style. The place that we went to check out Wing Chun (詠春) was at Lonsdale Street in Melbourne Metro (click here to see website of place).

So that was basically our first destination as we arrived in the city; however, we got to the front of the building of where this place, but the door didn't open for us ><" So we thought the place wasn't open yet and went somewhere else to explore. We revisited the "Yellow dvd shop" across the street from Red Silk. I wanted to buy the TVB series "Twin of Brothers" to re-watch. Sadly, they didn't sell it in the $10 no dvd case copy. So I was shattered =(

Further, we went to Hobby Japan, because it was opened for once! =O Eira was checking out some utensils to perfecting his Gundam building, but he didn't end up buying it. Which ended up bringing us back to the Wing Chun centre. As we were standing at the front door of the building, trying to figure a way to get in, I noticed that there was a button on the side of the door that stated "Press here". I read it, and as Eira pressed it, the front door opened!" We were so stupid...

We went in, reading the bulletin board, and disliking the atmosphere of the place. After a small discussion, we entered the Wing Chun training centre. We went to what they call the "administration office" to ask for information. And after a discussion, with the new knowledge of prices, classes, membership, uniform, and a free first lesson; we decided to give it a shot in two week's time (Eira is busy next week).

As we came back out, we took a trip to "Ha Ha" for Eira to buy something he wanted, and then something else at a gift shop kind of place near the Target in China Town. A trip down to bourke street mall, resulting in an hour's pool game at Cue city, and claw machine gaming at Photo World (which was surprisingly easy today with the first toy), we ended up going to QV. I went to QV to buy new books for yr 12, and then we had lunch at this Jap place next to Grill'd (we didn't feel like having Grill'd today). It was funny, cause this little Jap place was fast in serving, but you can so tell that everything was already pre-made and only took minutes to consume (as it was in like a paper bowl and all, eating and chucking it is easy and fast).

Finally, we caught the train back to Sunshine, bused back to Eira's place, and bludged around for the rest of the day. That is until my parents picked me up from his place at 5-ish

P.s. Heolin! Here are the toys, choose which one you want!
And if anyone else wants one, don't hesitate to ask! =)

I totally agree to this!!

LAST DAY FOR CHINESE SCHOOL FOR EVER!!

WHOO HOO!!
After approximately 12 years of my life spent studying Chinese, it's FINALLY OVER!! =D For information about this day, check out this post!

Wednesday was well... weird I guess. After all these years of a regular routine of going to tutor on Wednesday after tutor, I was so lost and well, unbelievably bored to not go tutor! *nod* weird hey?

Thursday and Friday were just plain HOT! ><" Stupid weather isn't helping with the end of Spring. *sigh*

And well, that's pretty much my week *nod*
OH OH OH!!
Forgot to state:
Believe it or not! I did homework on Thursday night!! =O
8 PAGES WORTH!! =O

Another Last..

So many "last things" are happening recently, and well, more and more are happening as the days go on. Toady was the last day for.. freedom I guess. Our English class has just started studying under the Year 12 curriculum. And, its taking over our previous methods classes too ><"

The Methods Exam 2 ended on Monday! WHOO HOO! Everyone was so hyped up and happy that day!! =D Well of course, I meant after the exam. Before the exam, everyone was still nervous and stressful *nod*
Stupid Tasmania Jones!!!

Monday went by fine, with our first two periods of the day dedicated to the study of the exam (but we used it as a stress relief class, where we sat down and took things easy). The rest of the day was used for exams, and then bludge! The last period of the day was our FINAL maths class (with maths related stuff). We reflected on good and bad times of our time together as the "accelerated maths class" of our year level. And now we are on a mission to fight for what Heolin calls, a "Maths Party". Wonder if we're ever going to get it..

Today is the day that we started our new text for VCE English Units 3&4. It's another Shakespeare, and this one is called: "Richard III".
Not sure how it is, but let's hope its good!

Thought in my mind lately:
Another year has passed, one more year left...
Where will we be in this time? Are we going to all still stay in contact? What do I do now with all this free time? Where's my motivation to work?

Let's hope these questions will all be answered..

Last Saturday class...

Another day gone...
Another set of days gone...
Another last time gone...

The last day for Saturday tutor classes has ended. Similarly to the feeling I felt on Wednesday... I miss it already ><" I'm gonna miss all the bros that I usually see on Saturday, and well, yeh the time I spend with those guys. *sigh*

Thursday was the day for the Year 6's Orientation day at GC. I was one of the prefects who helped out looking after them. Broseph wasn't around with me most of the time, so i partnered with JC to deal with those little ones. The only real work I did, was to help them sign in at the beginning of the day, and that was it. The rest of the day was bludge bludge bludge, and bowling! Bowling wasn't as good as we expected, cause of the idea that us prefects couldn't bowl together, but each has to look after a group of year 6's, so it wasn't as fun..

Friday was the day of the first methods exam (my 2nd exam of the year)! It wasn't as hard as I expected though.. Well, most people freaked out upon going into the exam, but I have faith that all of us did well, and won't fail at all, or do too badly (by us I meant all of us yr11's in my maths class).

Saturday... Simply put all I did was:
- Mock exam at Chink school
- Walk around in Foots in the hot weather
- Go to the last official Saturday tutor class
- Go Lazy Moe's for dinner
- Walked to tutor from Foots, going to a few places to kind of.. commemorate the things I've done before going to tutor on Wednesdays
- Had our last tutor class today
- Went to Eira's house for a while
- Got home at 10:50-ish.

Up until now... Other than the Methods Exam 2 that is coming up tomorrow, and the Saturday class that we have finished, that's all I've been thinking about.

Quote of the day:
"A dream is something you can never reach, that is why it's a dream. One dream that can be reached, is known as a goal."
This is something I made up myself, and it is true or false, dependent on who you are, and how you see it. I guess.

Long Weekends are over!

Damn it! Time really does fly ><"

Monday went by as a bludge. I just watched movies, did a bit of exam revision, and well... that was my day.

Tuesday, Melbourne Cup Day, was also a bludge. All I did was go to cousin, Tim-Cai's new house in Mt Waverley! It was a pretty nice house, but sadly he wasnt there. Only his younger brother, N. Cai was there. Other than playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl on Wii; playing mahjong; and eating, there was nothing else to do.
I also drove home from there, and whoa it was dangerous! Mainly cause I was sleepy, so I was half dead when driving ><. Then after I got home, I gamed on ps3 with the Call of Duty.

Wednesday came, and it was actually the last day for maths tutor or Wednesday, forever! So happy/sad at the same time. I miss it already =( These classes were actually a highlight. Mainly cause it was how I got to become better friends with Heolin, and Eira, Hu, and well... others too! I guess the thing I'll miss the most, is the traveling from GC to tutor on Wednesdays with Heolin, cause we actually have a great deal of fun *nod*.
So anyway, I spent the first half of the day with Heolin and Libro. We met up at Heo's house, went to Wg for lunch at Grill'd (which was awesome). Went to school to ask our maths teacher for help, stayed for lunch time. We left school after lunch, and as Libro went home, Heolin and I travelled to Mark's place. It is a VERY VERY nice house *nod*, cant believe how nice it was. Us three went off to school (again) for the last 20 odd minutes of school. And then we picked up Lil_thang from school.
Heolin, Lil_thang and I did our usual Wednesday routine, but for the last time. Which means we went to eat in Foots, went to Max Brenner, then tutor.

To summarise it, I can't believe I'm saying this.. but... I will definitely miss Wednesday classes (I'm guessing, mainly cause of the socialising that will cease).

Quote of the day:
"Grasp everything that's happening in joy, cause no matter how much you don't like it, when you stop having it, you'll miss it"
So true, something you learn from life, and it's something that's inevitable...

Long Weekends are starting

Hey-a!
Friday's Psychology exam was... EASY AS!!
it was UNBELIEVABLY easy!! =O
And the rest of the day was a bludge, until after lunch we had to have extra maths classes cause our external exams start this coming Friday, so WATCH OUT!

Saturday went by ok I guess. Morning was pretty hot, so that was pretty gay. We did the 2008 Chinese written exam for the day, and the last half an hour of the class was just bludge. Funny cause it wasn't hard at all *shakes head*. Tutor was usual, nothing new there too. Night time was same old same old, the only difference was the lightning and thunder that was going on about in Melb at that time, which lasted for a fair while.

Today was another bludge day. It was actually cool, with the thought of how Bro-in-law and I went to Wg. And he let ME DRIVE THE PEUGEOT! =O so awesome!! I drove carefully, yet still according to the speed limit (yes I'm a good boy, I don't speed).
We went to Wg to look for a new ps3 game to play with today, and in the end we bought the "Call of Duty: World at War". We spammed it (clocking about 4 levels) before he had to go home. So yeah that was fun!!

I wonder what's install for me tomorrow and Tuesday *thinks*
